A calculated field allows you to combine the information from two or more fields. We will compute the total value of a sale by creating a field that is the result of multiplying the Qnty by the Price field.

Click the View button on the toolbar

Access displays your query in design view.

Click to the right of Price, in the Field Row Type Total:Qnty*Price

Click the Run button on the toolbar.

Your query should look like the one below:

For each record, Access multiplied Qnty by Price to produce a total in the Amount field.
